Applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
At HSU we recognise the valuable experience many of our students bring to their studies.
If you have already undertaken study equivalent to elements of your chosen course you may be able to apply to have this recognised through our Recognition of Prior Learning process. You will need to provide evidence of your previous study or experience so that this can be assessed against the learning outcomes of your intended programme, but if you are successful in your application you may be exempt from completing particular units or even entire years of study on your new course.

Please note that Recognition of Prior Learning applications are usually only processed once you have accepted an offer from HSU, but if you are unsure whether your previous experience might be considered we’d be happy to discuss this with you at pre-application or interview stage.
