We encourage all staff and students to choose low-carbon, sustainable transport options – wherever possible. By travelling sustainably, you can help to reduce congestion and limit the amount of carbon that is released into the atmosphere. However, we understand that travelling to our university campuses by car is sometimes necessary. Staff and students can access our car parking policy via the relevant portals, while visitors are encouraged to liaise with their university contact for parking details.
We wanted to highlight the following sustainable transport options available for getting to and from our campuses.
Travel to Bournemouth Campus
Train
Pokesdown Station is just a short 10-minute walk from our Bournemouth campus.

The nearest bus stops to the Bournemouth campus are on Christchurch Road, just a 5-minute walk away. From here, you can easily access locations across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. Live travel information from this bus stop:
Bike
Beryl Bikes: Several locations near our Bournemouth campus offer Beryl Bikes for hire. The closest designated stop is on Parkwood Road, just a few minutes from the main entrance.
Bike Storage: There are multiple secure bike storage points across the campus where you can safely park your bike during your visit.

Travel to Central London Campus
Our central London campus at 275 Borough High Street is well-connected with excellent transport links.
Underground & Buses
Borough Underground Station (Northern Line) is just 100 metres from campus.
London Bridge and Elephant & Castle stations are a 10-minute walk away, while Waterloo Station is a 20-minute walk.
Bus routes 35, 343, C10, and 133 stop nearby at the Borough Station stop, providing convenient access to the campus.

There are multiple cycling routes available to reach the campus, and Santander Cycle docking stations are located nearby for bike hire.
