What is Psychology?

Psychology is the science of understanding people, their thoughts, behaviours and emotions. By better understanding people, and the way their environment influences them, we can seek to positively influence the lives people live.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is a talking therapy that involves trained therapists listening and providing advice and support for individuals who need help. Our course at Health Sciences University develops the knowledge, skills and expertise to help our students process to careers in caring professions such as counselling.

What is Sport Psychology?

Have you ever wondered what a sport psychologist does, how to become a sport psychologist, or what even is sport psychology!?

Sport psychologists impact athletes’ performance, participation and wellbeing through psychology. You can make a difference to people’s lives as a sport psychologist by helping them to become more active, healthier and happier.

Ella Sandever recently completed the Masters in Sports Rehabilitation and Therapy course. She now works at Poole Town Football Club in a full-time role as a Sports Therapist.

Jessica Mead In South Sudan

Jessica Mead recently graduated from the Master of Chiropractic course. Jessica flew to Yei, South Sudan, to help The Brickworks charity provide education to healthcare students and staff about back pain.
