Deputy Vice-Chancellor

Sharon Potter is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Health Sciences University. Sharon is a key member of the University’s Executive and senior leadership team, supporting the Vice Chancellor in the leadership, management and effective operation of the University.

Biography

Sharon Potter has been Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Health Sciences University (HSU) since August 2024 and was Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University College of Osteopathy (UCO), prior to its merger into HSU, for just over a year.  

She first joined UCO’s predecessor, the British School of Osteopathy (BSO), in 1997 and was Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) between 2008 and July 2023. During her time at BSO/UCO, she either led or participated in many landmark achievements for the institution including the receipt of Teaching Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP); the rebranding from BSO to a university; the award of Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Silver shortly thereafter.

Current Activity

As Deputy Vice-Chancellor at HSU, Sharon’s areas of responsibility include Student and Wellbeing Services, Access and Participation, Marketing and Practice Related Learning/Technology.
