Biography
Satjit is a well-established chief executive with a background in finance, having held senior roles in a range of organisations in the public and voluntary sectors. He has worked in the NHS and in a range of health professions regulatory bodies as CEO / Finance Director. Satjit is also an experienced management consultant who has worked extensively around the world; his clients have included various NHS organisations, the UK’s Department of Health, the Department for International Development (now FCDO), the World Bank and the EU. He led the UK Government’s biggest China programme on public sector restructuring and reform and, has played key roles in developing the healthcare strategies for Cambodia, Bangladesh and the state of West Bengal (India). Satjit’s areas of expertise are in developing and implementing strategy, business planning and financial management.
For the past seven years, he has been teaching Economics and Accounting at Bayes (formerly Cass) Business School. London. He has also been Chief Executive of the UK’s Trade Remedies Authority. Satjit has a BA (Hons) in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has an MBA from Imperial College, London.
Satjit is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants and a Freeman of the City of London. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of the Royal Society for Asian Affairs.
