Biography
Jonathan Cook graduated from Manchester Victoria University in 1988 with a Degree in Environmental Science and Geography having also attained a Diploma in Physical Education. He went on to attain his degree in Chiropractic at AECC University College, graduating in 1994. After four years in full-time private practice he returned to teach at Health Sciences University whilst maintaining part-time practice and has maintained this balance ever since. His area of special interest is in spinal and extremity rehabilitation and healthy function for the prevention of musculoskeletal pain, and he has been principal lecturer on the Functional Management units of the undergraduate programme since 1999. He completed his MSc in this field of work from Portsmouth University in 2005.
Current Activity
Jonathan is a Lecturer (Clinical Science) within the AECC School of Chiropractic. He leads the Functional Management elements of the Master of Chiropractic – MChiro (Hons) course, part of the wider Clinical Management Units in Years 2 and 3. He also lectures on Functional Anatomy in the Human Structure Units, supports in Chiropractic Technique classes, supervises undergraduates in the Chiropractic Clinic. Jonathan also sees private patients. Each year he is involved in leading postgraduate seminars and supporting seminars presented by notable overseas visiting scholars.

Areas of interest include rehabilitation and functional prevention of musculoskeletal disorders.
