Free Clinic for Sports Injuries and Performance
The Clinical & Rehabilitation Services team at AECC UC has introduced a free advice and guidance clinic for individuals dealing with sports injuries or seeking to improve athletic performance.
The clinic, managed by Sports Chiropractor Glenn Winslade, along with support from 4th Year Chiropractic Students, runs on Thursday afternoons.
Aim of the Clinic: The clinic aims to offer personalised advice on sports injuries and performance, directing individuals towards effective injury management or ways to elevate their athletic performance.

How did this opportunity come about?
Thanks to the inclusion of a new sports specialist placement in the chiropractic clinical program, students can now gain sports-specific experience during their clinical placement year.
Working in the new Integrated Rehabilitation Centre at AECC UC, students work with patients under the guidance of qualified sports chiropractor Glenn Winslade and other members of the Clinical & Rehabilitation Services Team.
What can patients expect?
The free advice and guidance sessions provide support for individuals unsure about the best services for their needs or requiring guidance to enhance their conditions, injuries, or sports performance.
During appointments, patients undergo a brief assessment, leading to recommendations for relevant services or personalised next steps aligned with their goals.
Options for patients may include booking a 1-2-1 rehab plan, scheduling personalised coaching sessions, or taking advantage of high-level performance services from the Sport Performance Centre.
