Rebecca Spence enrolled in the BSc (Hons) Radiography (Radiotherapy and Oncology) course in 2020 when it was first introduced at Health Sciences University and graduated in 2023. It has helped her to get an abstract from her research dissertation being accepted at the ESTRO 2024 (The European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology) Congress and helped her to get the job she wanted at UCLH (University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). HSU and HEE Announce Software Tool to Grow Regional Placement Capacity for Radiography
Health Education England South East region has enabled stakeholder engagement across the region to achieve a more comprehensive understanding of the current and projected workforce challenges across the Radiography professions. This piece of work was commissioned to support providers and Universities in mapping out the capacity they have for learner placements.
The Medical Imaging team at Health Sciences University and Health Education England (HEE) are pleased to announce the launch of a new software tool that aims to identify additional placement capacity for student Radiographers in medical imaging departments across the South East of England.
Developed in-house at Health Sciences University, the Radiographer Learner Capacity Software allows medical imaging departments across the South East to input the equipment they have on-site, log when it is currently being utilised, and confirm whether there is spare capacity for machines to be used for training.
